|Knafeh with chocolate recipe|
For knafeh syrup:
2 cups sugar
¼ cup honey
1 cup water
1 stick cinnamon
½ orange peel
500 grams Knafeh dough
½ cup margarine
12 blocks of soft dark chocolate
1 cup double cream
2 cups mascarpone cheese
Ground pistachio for garnish
Knafhe syrup: Place sugar, honey, water, cinnamon and orange peel in a saucepan. Let mixture boils then reduce the heat to low for 5 minutes.
Add the margarine to knafeh and Mix with your fingertips until the knafeh is covered well with margarine.
Grease cupcake pan with margarine. Place knafeh in each cup of the pan and fix it by palcing another cupcake pan on the surface.
Preheat the panggangan to 200°C.
Bake in the panggangan for 10 minutes.
Flip knafeh from the pan carefully.
Boil double cream and pour it over chocolate until it melts then leave it to cool.
Stir 1/2 cup of mascarpone cheese with cream mixture, then add the rest of cheese and whisk with the mixture.
Place a cup of kanfeh in a serving dish, cover the top with the mascarpone and chocolate mixture then top it with another cup of knafeh.
Pour syrup over knafeh.
Garnish with ground pistachio. Serve
